Explanations
Titan is Saturn's largest moon and the only known object besides Earth that has stable liquids on its surface – though they're methane and ethane lakes instead of water. With a diameter of 5,150 km, it's almost as big as the planet Mercury. The Huygens probe landed there in 2005 and showed us that Titan's dense atmosphere and extremely cold surface temperature of 94 K (-179°C) make it a fascinating analog to Earth – just under completely different conditions.
