Explanations
The grass frog (Rana temporaria) is one of Europe's most common frogs, found from Scandinavia to the Urals. With a body length of about 8 centimetres and a weight of around 22 grams, it is relatively small. It lives for 5 to 10 years and prefers wet habitats such as moors, meadows and forests – which is why it is often observed as a sign of healthy waters and natural areas.
